Thomas Dresser's business card reads: writer/bus driver. After a stint as an elementary schoolteacher and two decades as a nursing home administrator, Thomas Dresser decided to write. Besides freelance contributions to the local press, he has self-published booklets on favorite New England haunts. Disaster Off Martha's Vineyard: The Sinking of the City of Columbus is his fourth book with The History Press, following Mystery on the Vineyard, African Americans of Martha's Vineyard and the Wampanoag Tribe of Martha's Vineyard.
