Tracey A. Sowerby (University of Oxford) is the author of Renaissance and Reform in Tudor England: The Careers of Sir Richard Morison c.1513-1556 (2010), and co-editor of Practices of Diplomacy in the Early Modern World c.1410-1800 (2017) and Cultures of Diplomacy and Literary Writing in the Early Modern World (2019). Christopher Markiewicz is a lecturer in Ottoman and Islamic history at the University of Birmingham. He is the author of The Crisis of Kingship in Late Medieval Islam: Persian Emigres and the Making of Ottoman Sovereignty (2019).
