In this monograph the author examines the literary and formal interconnections between the Aramaic proverbs of Achikar The Wise, in their oldest, Ancient Aramaic versions originating from Egypt, and the Old Testament Wisdom Literature. It is thus the first extensive analysis of the features these traditions have in common, arriving at important new conclusions about their literary historical and form critical relationships.
