Chinese medicine is a culturally dependent art of healing deeply rooted in the culture and philosophy of the country it originated from: China. Fengli Lan is associate professor for applied linguistics and Chinese Medicine at the Foreign Language Teaching Center at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her research fields include Chinese Medicine, applied linguistics, and the philosophy of science, esp. intercultural and translation studies on Chinese Medicine.
