This book studies the theory and practice of crisis. This approach need to study theory and practices of change. The crisis appears as an exceptional process. It is a form of change, which in general has negative connotations. Crises ultimately generate transformations that disrupt normality.

The research shows that crises are part of the human reality with which all human being must live. It is a special coexistence because a state of crisis reflects a negative perception of reality, which can eventually take shape. Social systems theory conceives crisis as a negative self-description of society that usually moves agents to action.

.In more specific terms for the purposes of our approach, a crisis and by extension a disaster, can be defined as any triggering event that threatens a society, organization or person, and may consequently affect its financial situation or its intangibles, in a general way. We believe that this is an important knowledge.
