Autorenporträt
Nancie L. Gonzalez is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she is also an Associate of the Center for International Development and Conflict Management. She has worked among various ethnic groups in Central America, including Cakchiqueles, Garifuna, Ladinos, and, most recently, Palestinians.

Carolyn S. McCommon the Rural Development Adviser for Volunteers in Technical Assistance (VITA), a U.S. non-governmental organization involved in international development programs. She has worked in various aspects of program design, implementation, and evaluation for the World Bank and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
