In the novel, the writer tells the complex relationship between Cleopatra and Julius Caesar and Mark Antonius, as well as her father Ptolemy XV (Caesaron). The novel "Cleopatra", written by Ahmed Shawky, aims to portray the character Cleopatra differently from the image that was drawn by Western historians. The writer wants to determine the focus on the role of Cleopatra as a national queen who is concerned with the interest of her people, and not as a Ghanaian and divine woman as they drew it. Shawky tries to show her humanitarian aspect and smart and political power that she created to protect her country and her people.
