City of the Legions is a salacious warts and all saga of victor and vanquished in the European theater of experience.

I use The Roman camp of Castra Deva as a linchpin for a story of ambition, desire, and determination.
The backdrop is Imperial expansion. We shall dine with Emperors, witness Boudicca's fury and gain a taste of life in Rome.

In 2 we witness the opening of the Coliseum, bet on a race in the Circus Maximus.
The theme remains the lives of the family Aurelius and their assimilation with Deva Celts.
Day one finds the Patrician family Aurelius suffering grievous times. We follow a migratory journey to the Eastern Empire and then turn West to follow the Roman Invasion of Britain.

I paint it as it was not is.
Suffering is good for the soul the Gods demand it.
Should you enjoy the read, try the sequels as the saga moves onto the Norman era. and tell others.

I was English born at Chester the City of the Legions. My mother died when I was 5. I was brought up by my maternal grandparents.
My grandfather was a well respected Cheshire farmer.

My fascination is history and I support the 49ers.
These books are adult holiday reads.

I enjoy most sports and traveling.
My favorite trip was San Fran down the the West coast a cut across to Phoenix, Sedona, Vegas, Yosemite and back to San Fran.
