Ellie and James Richards, originally from west London, UK where they met in early 1987, deem themselves to be an adventurous couple in many facets of life. After several years and significant success in the UK, they changed direction and, along with their children, took a leap of faith and started a new life in Florida USA. Following this a few years later, was their final destination to date in sunny Andalucía in southern Spain. Along their journey through life and a rich tapestry of ups and downs, more downs than they would have cared for, they have always maintained a potent curiosity in multiple areas of life with a common theme being anything historical whether that be related to medicine, people, politics, food, events and everything in between. It was with this inquisitiveness that they decided to research the history behind Christmas and where all the traditions came from. They were so enthralled by what they discovered, even at their age, they decided to share it in the form of this book. It is their hope that it will surprise and delight all who read it.
