Autorenporträt
He loves children, being the father of four (three sons and one daughter), the grandfather of seven, and the great-grandfather of one. It has been his delight to be a school teacher of numerous grade levels. This has included public school, charter school, Christian day school, and home school. Most of his years involved teaching music at elementary, secondary, and college levels. Part of those years included teaching English, reading, and writing. It was while teaching writing that he "got the bug" to write stories that would be of interest to children. Knowing that children love animals, he decided that this would be a wonderful thing for them. Therefore, he selected some animals about which where would be enjoyment in reading (or having someone else read to them). He selected names for these animals that would be unique in their connection with the animal; that is, the name would begin with the same letter as that of the animal itself. For many of the same years that he was teaching school, he was also a church minister. It was his privilege to be working with children. This is why, at the end of these stories, he included a short statement that introduced the "goodness of the Creator" toward that animal, as well as "God's goodness to us, too." It is his intention to write more stories that will be, not only good for children, but also enjoyable to them. He desires families to read his books, and to develop an interest in the principles that he projects. He knows that his own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will benefit from the legacy that he leaves for them in his writing.
