Autorenporträt
Dennis Herrick is the author of seven books as well as several short stories, most of them involving the American Southwest and often featuring different tribes of Pueblo Indians. He won the 2004 Tony Hillerman Mystery Writing Contest for his short story "Hunting Season," and he won the 2010 Society of Southwestern Authors Writing Contest for his short story "Missing." He is the author of several published short stories and five books. A native of Michigan, he and his wife now live on the west bank of the Rio Grande between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Herrick is a former daily newspaper reporter and weekly newspaper publisher and owner. He is an emeritus member of the journalism faculty at the University of New Mexico.
