People have since learned to live in relative comfort in small isolated communities. Until Ramsey begins to have strange reoccurring dreams of a world very different from what he knows. This other world was never destroyed by war. Ramsey finds himself living in a big city, attending university and spending time with friends that he's never met outside of his dreams.

Something about the dreams feels too real to ignore. Is that how the world should be, or is something else going on? As Ramsey explores both worlds, he learns that there are secrets and systems that he never considered, and the lines of his reality become blurry.

The author of this book is ultimately a big child who loves stories and fantasy. Educated in psychology and social work, you'll likely see some social commentary snuck into some of the themes as well as little easter eggs for things that the author, who is me writing as a strange third-person person here, really enjoys. Also, because the author identifies as a proud nerd, he has also created a board game based on this very book. It is called Broken: The Village and is a cooperative game resembling elements that you will read about in this story. With any luck, it will be available by the time you read this. This is just a plug for another product, isn't it? Do what you will with that. In the end, I hope you enjoy both just as I do.
