Her goal is to allow teachers in classrooms around the world an opportunity to share that a story that demonstrates how we all learn differently. It should encourage children to not give up, but instead, to find a way to learn that fits their needs. The story also shows the effects of bullying and how similar situations can be handled.

Autorenporträt
Patricia Prevosti of Wall, New Jersey was inspired by her daughter's real life experience. She wrote Betsy Did It in an effort to help other children around the world who may also struggle with reading and who may feel the same. Her intentions also are to bring awareness to Dyslexia while teaching children that each person learns in a unique way. She emphasizes that "We all have special gifts to share!" Patricia is a middle school special education teacher. She teaches in a multi-sensory reading program like the one discussed in the story.
