Autorenporträt
Kas Hirst is an experienced artist, having had her own stained glass business for over seven years. However, she discovered a love of gourds and realised she could incorporate all her crafts into this amazing, cheap new medium. This is Kas's first craft book. She has also written a children's book and is currently working on a book about her journey as an adoptive mother to a baby born with a serious drug addiction. Kas has lived on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales for over thirty-five years. In that time, she has built a mud brick house, raised donkeys, run a macadamia farm, and reeducated herself in community welfare. She now works as a youth worker in her local area with kids who are homeless and at risk. Kas is the mother of two daughters and has two beautiful grandchildren.
