Autorenporträt
Dr. Bhupendra Khandelwal is Associate Professor for fuels and combustion at The University of Alabama, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Gas Turbine Combustion area at Cranfield University, UK in 2012. His research focuses on combustion, emissions and performance of alternative fuel to be used in gas turbine engines and other combustion systems. Prior to this position, Dr. Khandelwal held a position of assistant professor (lecturer) at the University of Sheffield in the Low Carbon Combustion Centre (LCCC). He was leading combustion and emissions research areas at LCCC. Dr. Khandelwal has received numerous awards and citations for excellence in research including awards from The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He serves as technical area organizer, reviewer and associate editor of various international conferences, journals and funding agencies.
Rezensionen
"The current scenario of fuels suited to the propulsion of civil and military aircraft is covered in this book, encompassing the production, official approval, ignition, emissions, combustion chamber design, flame stability, impact on containing materials, and thermal stability....

Summarising, in the context of aircraft propulsion, this valuable book provides a deeper insight into the present, enabling better tackling of the future." --AERSOPACE Magazine (Royal Aeronautical Society)
