Autorenporträt
Equator Stroman Cheek is her name and she is as unique as her name. She was born and raised in the Washington Metropolitan area. She is married and have three children and five grandchildren. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. Her writing skills came into view when she accepted the call to ministry. She recalls late in the midnight hours being awaken by a soft still voice and was told to write this down. Of course, she just thought she was dreaming and went back to sleep, but it just wouldn't stop so, she said to herself, self I think God is trying to tell you something. So, the next time that voice came to her she obeyed and pick up her pad and pencil and began writing on various matters about life and was told that she was chosen to preach the gospel. She would say that sometimes she would actually have to grab her head and asked the Holy Spirit to please slow down and let her catch up. She started taking ministry classes and other bible courses at various theological institutions in the Metropolitan area such as Galilee Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Greater Mt. Cavalry Church and the Washington Saturday College at Howard University Campus - Douglass Hall. On May 27, 2000, she received her Associate of Religious Education Degree.
