Autorenporträt
Sharnette is a first-time children's picture book author of diverse stories for young readers. She was born in a sleepy fishing village on the Caribbean Island of St Lucia, spent her formative years in the UK and she now lives in the land of tulips, windmills and bicycles - the Netherlands, with her husband and 2 children: Adalia & Gabriel. Her children are her biggest inspiration. Her first book, titled "Ada's Wash Day" is based on real life experiences and conversations with Adalia about her hair, her identity, and her place in the world. Growing up in their quaint suburb in the Netherlands, there weren't many little girls who look like Adalia. Adalia always felt different and at times, was made to feel different! So "Ada's Wash Day" was born.Sharnette's mission is to inspire & empower & educate little, big readers with little, big stories so that they can see themselves, understand themselves better, and develop a love of who they are - kinks and all.You can connect with Sharnette on Instagram @_littlebigstories or visit www.littlebigstories.eu to find out more about Sharnette and her books.
