Autorenporträt
About the Author What a joy to read to your children and at the same time enjoy nuances meant for the adult. This is what the author had in mind. Leonora DiLullo, originally from Yonkers, a suburb of New York City, spent six months on bed rest during her second pregnancy and nine months during her third. She spent this time writing books that she could share with her children. She enlisted the help of her sister, Brenda Burgard, to illustrate these books. DiLullo now lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and three grown children. This is her first published children's book. About the Illustrator Always a talented artist, Brenda Burgard was asked by her sister, Leonora DiLullo, to illustrate a number of children's books. Being careful to capture what the author had envisioned, Burgard has created a gorgeous twenty-eight-page spread of delicate colored-pencil illustrations. Also originally from Yonkers, New York, Burgard now resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her husband and two grown sons. This is her first book of published children's illustrations.
