Franz Kafka (3 July 1883 3 June 1924) was a German-speaking Bohemian Jewish novelist and short-story writer, widely regarded as one of the major figures of 20th-century literature. Howard Phillips Lovecraft (August 20, 1890 March 15, 1937) was an American writer who achieved posthumous fame after his works of weird fiction were rediscovered. Daniil Kharms (30 December 1905 2 February 1942) was an early Soviet-era avant-gardist and absurdist poet, writer and dramatist.
