He was born in Chicago and spent a couple of unsuccessful years in college before being drafted in 1969. He returned home a drastically changed young man.

He learned an important lesson about choices and responses: While a person may not always make wise decisions, they can grow and mature.

Ben had a successful human resources career in manufacturing, higher education, and healthcare. He effectively led organizational change and was an inspirational role model for those facing difficult workplace challenges. He coached individuals to overcome troublesome circumstances and rebound emotionally and mentally.
