Susan Dickens is a retired elementary school teaching assistant. Zig, the Spotted Pig is her first children's book. Mrs. Dickens' inspiration for this story was a drawing done by her six-year-old granddaughter. In addition to reading, Susan enjoys playing tennis, crossword puzzles, and road trips. Her favorite pastime is spending time with family. Originally from Chicago, Susan and her husband, Steve, reside in Austin, Texas.
