Barb and her husband have raised alpacas on their Colorado alpaca farm, Wild Hair Alpacas, for thirteen years. A retired teacher, Barb enjoys writing books about alpacas for children. She is also a fiber artist, using her alpacas' fiber to felt everything from gossamer thin scarves to rugged upholstery fabric. Her work has been shown in local galleries. Barb is active in Front Range fiber guilds and in the Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies. Illustrator Biography. Illustator Denise Duker is an artist, teacher, a lover of travel and the beauty of the natural world. Living in the mountains of Colorado provides her with much inspiration and gratitude for this beautiful planet that we all live on.
