Autorenporträt
Andrea Kurth, an educator from Michigan, realized her students with disabilities weren't often represented in books and wanted to change that. Inspired by her students, she published Zac's Mighty Wheels, a fun chapter book series where the story is the focus, not the disability. It is filled with adventure for younger children but exciting enough for the older struggling reader. In her latest picture book, It's Your Turn, she co-authored with her mother to write a story of her brother, which keeps her mission alive while fulfilling her mother's dream. Andrea believes everyone should be represented in books. Visit her at www.kurthbooks.com to connect.
