Dear family (for aren't we all), this is a book written from the myriad pieces of poetry that started pouring through my soul awhile ago, waking me up in the middle of the night, and disappearing if I didn't have a pencil where I could grab it and write down the words. Dear family (for aren't we all), this is a book written from the myriad pieces of poetry that started pouring through my soul awhile ago, waking me up in the middle of the night, and disappearing if I didn't have a pencil where I could grab it and write down the words. Somewhere in my subconscious, life's stories and lessons learned make their way, probably through inherited DNA, to my conscious mind. I have learned many truths from poems that have fallen through me. Like many of us, I have walked long years in my life in darkness, and if it weren't for being taught at a young age, while kneeling by my bed, the well-known children's prayer, "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep," finding light would most likely have been much more difficult and painful. Through the pages of this book I hope you will find the amazing challenges, realizations and answers that lift a person's spirit in their daily walk, and teach us that we are not alone. The wisdom that falls into me, obviously from the hand of a loving God, definitely teaches me that in helping others we can receive the compassion, warmth of giving, and knowledge that we search for, that we are not so different from each other. Having traveled through darkness myself, this book is written from my heart to yours, to share answers that bring life's journey out of darkness into light.
