Dr. Shanta Barton-Stubbs is the Founder & Director of New Image Youth Center in Orlando, FL. At the age of 21, Shanta Stubbs founded the New Image Youth Center with only $1,500.00 and eight children. Shanta now helps mentor over 65 children a day in the Parramore Community. Shanta Barton-Stubbs has received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice a Master's degree in Mental Health, and recently In 2015 Shanta completed her doctorate in Theology, with the emphasis on Leadership Studies. Shanta has been the null of many awards including; the Bank of America Local Hero Award in 2007, the NBA, 2008 Orlando Magic Maker Award, the 2011 L'Oreal Women of Worth top 10 nominee and winning the National Title Miss Corporate America in 2009. Shanta Barton-Stubs is the first African American woman to win this title. New Image Youth Center into has two facilities in the Parramore Community along with the addition of a community garden, and a dance / exercise room that allows her and her kids to grow organic food for the homeless. Shanta's goal is to be a role model for at-risk youth and women to show that they can defy the odds under any circumstances. Shanta is now a Licensed Therapist, a certified Success Life Coach, and Motivational Speaker and the founder of Under Construction Empowerment Services, counseling and consulting service that guides individuals to success in reaching their goals. Most recently Dr. Stubbs, co authored a book Discover your destiny, Live your dreams, love your life, a book which has been recognized as international best seller. Dr Stubbs currently have a dissertation been published and have upcoming publications sharing her research.
