El Dr. Rolf Kretschmann es colíder del equipo de competencias de la ciudad de Mülheim an der Ruhr y la ciudad de Oberhausen. Es profesor en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de la FOM y fue profesor de ciencias del deporte en la Universidad de Texas, asistente de investigación en la Universidad de Stuttgart y profesor en una escuela integral de Duisburgo.
