David A. Steen, Ph. D., is Professor Emeritus of Biology at Andrews University. After more than 40 years of teaching thousands of students, writing scientific research publications, presenting at national and international scientific meetings, and spending uncountable joy-filled hours studying the beauty and complexity of life with all types of microscopes, he is now retired with his wife in TN. Steen thinks of himself as a gentleman farmer, photographer, and woodworker. But most of all he enjoys time with his two grown children, three grandsons, and three great grandchildren. He continues to write, teach, and describe what he has learned about the unfathomable beauty of the character of God who is love, truth, and freedom.
