Health workers in general and PTs in particular are frequently exposed to WRMSDs (Work-related musculoskeletal disorders) due to prolonged and repeated exposure to high intensity loads and repetitive trauma. The functional impact of WRMSDs can touch not only the professional life of PTs but also the physical and mental health. The prevalence and aspects of WRMSDs in PTs has been well documented across different countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Nigeria, Egypt, Greece, Turkey...etc, but no such study has been conducted in Tunisia to investigate this issue. The main objective of this cross-sectional study was to report the prevalence of WRMSDs among PTs. This study also explored the functional impact, biomechanical factors and coping strategies regarding WRMSDs among the PTs. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to the designed population. The Nordic questionnaire which is the standardized tool to explore WRMSDs was used. Other questions were added to better understand WRMSDs.
