Marc Nathanson is the middle child of Don and Evelyn Nathanson. He has had a long career as a media entrepreneur and founded Falcon Cable TV in 1975 and became Vice Chair of Charter Communications in 1999. He served in the Clinton and Bush administration as Chair of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, an independent Federal agency that operates radio, TV, internet and satellite systems throughout the world such as Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia and Radio/TV Marti. Nathanson was also appointed to the Board of Governors of the East-West Center in Honolulu by the Secretary of State. He is the immediate past co-chair of the Pacific Council, and Vice Chair of the National Democratic Institute. He is on the board of the Aspen Institute and the Center for the Digital Future at USC. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Jane, and three children and eight grandchildren.
