Kür¿at Ç¿nar is an Assistant Professor at Middle East Technical University, Department of Political Science & Public Administration. He conducts research on party politics, democratization, and gender politics. He has published in respected journals such as Politics & Gender, Democratization , and Political Studies and his most recent book 'The Decline of Democracy in Turkey' was published by Routledge (2019). Dr. Ç¿nar is a Fulbright and EU Marie Curie Alumnus and the recipient of the 2019 Science Academy of Turkey Distinguished Young Scientist of the Year and the 2013 Sak¿p Sabanc¿ International Research Awards. He is also one of the Associate Editors of Politics & Gender.
