As part of the development, the governments are aiming to enhance economic opportunities through entrepreneurship by way of increasing chances, strengthen the community's livelihood base.SHG's (Self Help groups) women are the community platforms from which women are encouraged to become socially active especially with regard to issues affecting their daily life. This book is an understanding of how the micro-credit interventions enhanced the decision-making capability of SHG women at the household level. Further, it is suggested that the journey of creating businesses should start with proper enterprise education. Rural & Urban women to be moulded for becoming self-earners through community mobilization and skill enhancement for achieving economic enhancement.

La Dra. Sridevi Samineni es investigadora senior postdoctoral (PDF) de la Comisión de Subvenciones Universitarias. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en los campos del "empoderamiento de las mujeres" y el "emprendimiento social". En la actualidad, ha puesto en marcha la empresa social "Anthaprarena" y trabaja en la creación de pequeñas empresas cooperativas resistentes con mujeres de grupos de autoayuda en zonas rurales.
