Autorenporträt
Claudia Barnett is a playwright whose works include Aglaonike's Tiger, Kingdom (a play about Snow White and climate change), and No. 731 Degraw-street, Brooklyn, or Emily Dickinson's Sister. She's been a fellow at the Tennessee Playwrights Studio, an Ingram New Works playwright-in-residence at Nashville Repertory Theatre, and a Downstage Left resident playwright at Stage Left Theatre. Her plays have been developed and performed at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, the Kennedy Center Page-to-Stage Festival, MultiStages, the Salon, Venus Theatre, and the Women's Voices Theater Festival. She won the Andaluz Award Jury Prize from Fusion Theatre. A professor of English at Middle Tennessee State University, she teaches drama and playwriting and coordinates In Process: A Creative Writing Event Series.
