There she was, a small girl thinking why Wise Guys in no Wise Girls? Elyse DeLucci - former Wall Street executive and stand-up comedian (yes you read that right) - is here to tell you how to get ahead in your career and life. With her signature New York voice, this standup comedian, podcast host (New York Tawk with Elyse DeLucci) and viral social media personality, lays out the principles she learned from her loud New York Italian-American family. These are The Rules she learned (sometimes the hard way) from her first job in a boiler room, to climbing the corporate ranks, to comedy stages across the country. From Be Cool (Rule #1) because They Will Test You (#17) to Omertà: The Code of Silence (#24), Wise Girl guides you through the shark tank of businesses, bosses, and co-workers... just remember to Slice Garlic Thin (#31). As a woman in a male-dominated world, Elyse is here to tell you how to get through it: You Gotta Laugh (#32). You don't have to follow The Rules in Wise Girl, but you'll wish you had.
