The life and teachings of a lowly construction guy from Galilee sent shock waves through the first-century Greco-Roman world. Why? Even His critics conceded that "no man ever spoke like this Man." Today, His influence continues to inspire millions who look to Him for hope in a dark and chaotic world. To understand the power of Jesus' dominion in human affairs, we must study the primary source documents that tell His story. In a career spanning several decades working with a single congregation, David King wrote hundreds of articles for the church's weekly bulletin. This volume is a selection of those articles, based on the history of this remarkable Man. "In this volume, David King has done a masterful job of assembling relevant topics for the modern learner of the gospel of Jesus. From his definition of the kingdom to its practical instruction on how to live within it, this easy-to-read book appropriately applies Jesus' teaching to today's context for discipleship. Limiting his topical approach to the gospel accounts is a tall task given some of the topics he addresses, yet he does so with grace and expertise." - Drew Ellis "As someone who has always dealt with a touch of ADHD and dyslexia, reading long bodies of work has always been a struggle for me. With Wings like Eagles, however, I was able to read a full article without needing a break from it. It was a great source of both spiritual refreshment and personal satisfaction. This book is a great collection of individual yet complete articles that leave the reader encouraged and satisfied." - Keith Stonehart
