Tempe O'Kun (born 1985) is a writer and game designer from Bismarck, North Dakota. He writes romance, sci-fi, western, fantasy, and historical fiction. His works are very popular in the furry fandom and he attends several furry conventions around the United States each year. His published works include: Sixes Wild: Manifest Destiny (novel) and Sixes Wild: The Bluff (comic book). His short stories, comics, and poems have appeared in various volumes of the Heat anthology from Sofawolf Press. He also designed Nordguard: The Card Game for the award-winning Nordguard graphic novel series. Sixes Wild: Manifest Destiny won the Cóyotl Award for Best Adult Novel of 2012. Tempo is a member of the Western Writers of America as well as the Furry Writers' Guild. He has been a guest presenter several times at Bismarck State College, where a print of the cover of his first novel hangs in the Alumni Office. He is slated to teach a class there in May of 2013. When not writing, he enjoys video games, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, cooking, and downhill skiing. He currently lives on a horse ranch. When he was fifteen, he once accidentally lit a military rifle range on fire with an emplacement machine gun which burned down all adjacent buildings if not for the timely arrival of firefighters.
