William D. Mayo is a former Vice President of Caterpillar Inc, retiring in 2008. He held a wide variety of positions during his career primarily in Marketing & Sales, both domestically and in Europe. Bill has served on numerous boards and with Gerson Lehrman's global consulting practice. He also taught leadership at Eureka College. Bill graduated from the United States Naval Academy, serving five years of active duty. He attended Dartmouth's Tuck Business School Executive Program and has a Master's Degree in English from Bradley University. Bill speaks to groups representing many different business settings - from large corporations, to not-for-profits, to churches colleges and government agencies on the topics of leadership development, customer service, business culture, and marketing. He is married, with five children and seventeen grandchildren. He has published several books and business articles, and also wrote/produced a feature film -winning Illinois' International Film Festival's Best Thriller award.
