relevant demographic variables and cigarette smoking
in the State of Arizona in the US. We found that
education is the most important predictors among all
the relevant variables in the logistic regression
model, even though overall, demographic variables
cannot account for much of the variance in the
smoking status of the people in Arizona. This book
demonstrates an innovative approach for conducting
logistic regression models with contrast coding and
making the interpretation of the statistical results
more sensible. This book can be helpful for smoking
policy implications, and future smoking research
