Der englische Kinder- und Jugendbuchautor Philip Ardagh hat unter verschiedenen Namen über vierzig Bücher für Kinder veröffentlicht, darunter einige zum Thema Ägypten. Die Bandbreite seines schriftstellerischen Schaffens ist immens und reicht von historischen Jugendromanen bis zu Gruselgeschichten. Seine Bücher wurden bislang in neun Sprachen übersetzt.
