Kathy Binns completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Winnipeg and a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Victoria. Later, she received a Master of Education in Leadership Studies from the University of Victoria. She holds DP Certificates in Biology and ESS. In addition, Ms. Binns completed a Master of Online Teacher Certificate from the University of Illinois. She has over twenty years of teaching experience and an additional fourteen years of acute care nursing experience. She has held multiple leadership positions in education, serving as Head of Science, eLearning Coordinator, and Baccalaureate Diploma Program Coordinator. Now retired, Kathy lives in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, B.C., with her husband Michael.
