"What It Is!" is a whimsical story about farm animals finding half of an empty coconut shell and trying to figure out just What It Is! This story teaches the young reader that they must learn to appreciate different points of view and remain open-minded to possibilities. Based on our backgrounds and perspectives, we each have unique ideas on what things are and how they should be used. This story provides the parent or teacher a platform for teaching these much-needed lessons. Some of the characters are silly and some are a touch arrogant. We quickly learn that being arrogant (even when right), limits us from seeing the possibilities and usefulness of something that may at first seem useless. What is important is that many things can have unique and different uses for many different individuals if they remain creative and open-minded to what its possibilities are. To help teach these points, the story uses fun and playful illustrations and engaging rhymes to tell the story and capture the young reader's interest. The reader will become immediately engaged as they meet the silly sheep and her know-it-all friends. We hope you enjoy learning just "What It Is!"
