Produktbeschreibung
The positive impact of energy on socio-economic development and overall quality of life is undeniable, hence the overwhelming energy demands. The major source of energy consumed worldwide is from fossil fuel, which at the current consumption rate is unsustainable (at the verge of depletion) and its exploitation methods and use constitutes a major source of environmental hazards. Waste on the other hand is inevitable and a product of human activities, but rapid urbanization and population growth has generated more waste than can be allowed to naturally decompose and be balanced out by the natural carbon cycle and/or be adequately disposed by the waste management agencies. Adopting this waste-to-energy harnessing technique is imperative, as it will have less cost implications compared to fossil fuel fired plants of similar capacity, reduce greenhouse gases, tackle waste disposal inadequacies, boost power supply, create employment and foster a cleaner community. These are in line with the Paris climate change treaty and will represent a giant leap towards green energy.
