Jim Erickson has been a writer all his life, mostly on newspapers, particularly the Tacoma News Tribune, and with two Washington state government agencies. He has won writing and photography awards. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in education. After nearly two decades working for Conifer Specialties, mostly as a baker, his coworkers have dubbed him the "Scone Wizard." He lives in Tacoma, Washington.
