Jeff Thompson, PhD is a research scientist, veteran law enforcement detective, former hostage negotiator, mediator, graduate school instructor, crisis counselor, and suicide prevention specialist who has conducted research on many topics including resilience, mental health, and negotiation. Dr. Thompson's publishing credits include PsychologyToday.com. Based in New York City, Dr. Thompson has trained diverse groups globally that include over thirty thousand law enforcement members.
