Produktbeschreibung
The research was a qualitative case study which investigated the experiences and perceptions of disabled students with regard to service provision and support in a higher educational institute through the narrative approach. The study followed on a quantitative study done by UNESCO (1997) whose report acknowledged the lack of a voice of disabled students. This work therefore, attempted to provide the missing voice and offer new insights into experiences of disabled students in higher education. This book therefore, may be useful to students of social studies, disability studies and postgraduate students with interest in case study research; policymakers, educators, planners with a passion for how disabled students learn in higher education. It is hoped that the study offers new knowledge that can inform both policy and practice in higher education. However, findings from a case study, such as this one, may not be generalizable to a wider population, but may likely be used as 'fuzzy generalizations , which can only be applied on the basis of 'best fit' to address and solve problems in other higher educational institutes
