The instructional design of a virtual cataloging course for librarians, motivated the development of the research work within the continuous or company training sector, as an alternative to traditional training practices, in which the student's autonomous learning is enhanced and contributes to the rationalization of resources allocated by the companies in the training processes. Twenty-five librarians from different regions of Colombia participated in the implementation of the course.
