Exhaustive ventilation study was carried out in the mines of Tata Steel LTD. Dhanbad at depth more than 400 m below mean sea level. Different Mathematical and statistical tools has been used to arrive at the conclusion e.g. Statistica. Principal component analysis has also been used to identify the main influencing parameter. This study on deep underground coal mines in multi-seam workings having the liability and responsibility of upper exhausted seams will help the researchers to establish a new approach of modern ventilation to support the ventilation planners and engineers working in the field.
