This machining process is continually finding further applications in the metal machining industry. It is being used extensively in the plastic industry to produce cavities of almost any shape in metal molds. In this project, the various trends of EDM are discussed during the very first chapter. Then one useful type of EDM, which is nothing but PMEDM is discussed in the second chapter, where some interesting cases when kerosene is used as di-electric fluid. Finally, in the third chapter, the optimization of process parameters in wire-cut EDM using Taguchi method was discussed.
