This study examines the British primary school curriculum and how it can be challenged to become more engaging and educational by using innovative pedagogy. Through observation as a voluntary teaching assistant the author found that more work is needed in the area of creativity within the curriculum. It seems likely that the poor models and applications of creativity may be weakening and risking the subject to lack substance, which consequently leads to a lack of engagement in students. Music Education is now an integral part of the school curriculum, instead of being taught as a ¿extracurricular¿ subject. This book is my most valued work to date. I wanted to highlight the issues of music education in the hope that someday this study justifies its importance as a subject in education.
