This book is an attempt to address in part some of the problems. It is prepared in a simple-to-understand language with many worked out examples in topics which students have the most problems.

Professor Peter Mumba graduated with BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Malawi in 1981. He joined the University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture, as Assistant Lecturer in September 1981. He has an M.Phil. degree from Reading University (UK) and a PhD degree(Analytical Chemistry) from Kansas State University.
