Autorenporträt
Paddy Stapleton is an English and PE teacher from a small town in Tipperary called Borrisoleigh where he has been entrenched in sports, especially hurling all his life. He represented his county for a number of years and managed to be a part of some great teams with brilliant players. As a child that struggled with literacy, he wanted to produce an Irish book for Irish kids! Sports were his obsession as a child, and providing a story that resonates with the modern-day kid was a huge motivation for him. Through Fitzy and his friends, Up In The Air shows children that no matter how perfect other people's lives seem, there are always struggles, but you can get through them if you persevere.
